Kids Favors

July 12th, 2007 @ 7:39 pm by Mrs. Lovebug

If I were a kid, I’d be pretty peeved if my free wedding gift were a silver picture frame or bag of gourmet coffee. In fact, I’d probably throw it on the floor and pout. (I still do that, actually). Kid favors are one of those things that I never thought about until I came across these super cute Emotibles Earbud Charms from Fred Flare:

They’re $12 for three pairs (I’d divide the package up, obviously, and give each kid a set), and are a fun (and parent-saving) alternative to what I’d probably otherwise give ’em: a serious candy rush.

Anyone else thinking of giving the wee ones a different, kid-friendly favor?

these are darling! I am not having children at my wedding, but these would definitely be something to consider if I was… I was originally thinking older kids who maybe had mp3 players, but tons of younger kids now have portable cd players with headphones and the like.

That is the coolest idea!!! We have about 10 kids attending our wedding, and all of them would love those earbuds.

adorable :) though there are only a handful of kids at my wedding and they’re all under the age or 5, barely over the “choking hazard” age.

These are adorable even as favors for the adults! Because I’m wondering, how old are the “kids” you’re giving these to?

Miss Popcorn: “Choking hazard” pshaw. Kids are so smothered these days.

L: we’ve got a couple of tweens, and some very hipster 7-8 year olds coming. But if there are some leftover for MY iPod, oh well, waste not want not!

I agree even as adult favors- I would have gotten more use out of those than other favors I’ve gotten! :-)

I had 4 children at my wedding- 2 three year olds, a six year old & a precocious ten year old. I got them age appropriate gifts to keep them entertained (coloring book, travel games activity book, & junior mad libs).

Evelyn: is it totally wrong that I saw these, loved em, wanted to blog about em, so decided I’d have to buy them as wedding favors to justify it?
