A few days ago, we told you about this year’s TODAY show (that’s how they write it!) wedding event, and how Big Al will be traveling around the country interviewing couples for the contest.

Well, they’ve got an auxiliary event: a “Running of the Brides” mad dash for wedding gowns, sponsored by Filene’s Basement, such as these ladies are doing:

Details: At the search locations in Las Vegas, Miami, and Chicago, TODAY will be giving away 50 dresses to the first 50 eligible brides who line up with a completed application. (It’s the same application for the TODAY dream wedding.)

If you’re one of these first 50 women, you get to play Bridezilla on speed and run to grab one of the 50 dresses provided.

You can find the full set of rules and restrictions right here. And if you decide to try for it, you also might want to consider dressing like this. Just a thought.

I went to the Boston one last month! It was soooo much fun! And I managed to snag a dress!
I definitely recommend anyone with a outgoing group for backup to do it!

I got my dress at the Boston Filene’s Basement sale too! It’s a Mori Lee only for $250! The first time I went was just to observe the madness and it sure was madness. The second time I actually went myself and found 2 dresses I really liked. I went w/ the one w/ sparkle =) Highly recommended if you’re in the area and don’t mind digging through dresses yourself. Just keep in mind there are 2000 dresses and 200 brides, so there’s plenty left over even late in the day.
