I Turn My Camera On*

July 13th, 2007 @ 3:01 pm by Mrs. Pumpkin

Some photographers from my home town of Regina (Red Leaf Studios) are featured on a cool website called Don’t Box Us In. The website tries to feature “today’s best Artistic and Creative Photographers” and there are some very cool shots on there. Check it out for some cool ideas or maybe even to find your photographer! Here is a small sample:

I must say the couples in the first two pics look like they’re about to get it on (with eachother, not the other couples!). :)

The second pic looks straight out of a magazine shoot. I can only hope I find a photog half as talented.

Will certainly check out the blog - thanks!

i don’t know why…but that ipod in the last pic kinda turns me off…it’s going to look kind of dumb in a few years…it’d be like taking a picture with an atari. sure, it’s indicative of the time period, but it’s not timeless, which is what i would want in a picture like that. not to say the quality isn’t really good - all the pictures are really well done! the 2nd one looks like an abercrombie ad - that girl is so skinny!

Andria,
Are you suggesting that an Atari is not a timeless gaming system?!? I still play E.T. on mine all the time! ;)

I see your point but isn’t an engagement shoot about capturing you as a couple at this very specific time in your life? If music is a big part of your life together, I think it is kind of cute to include it. Now, if it were the wedding pictures, that is another story…
