For some reason I can’t get the photo of Mr. Bell Pepper’s family to upload.. Oh well, here’s my mother walking down the aisle with my cousin.

Thanks everyone, I loved my mom’s veil, she sewed every piece of rose lace to the veil and it really looked gorgeous with the dress. The DIY details really made the wedding even more special.

how did you guys do the tea ceremony? i’ve never been to one and i’m marrying into a chinese family. it seems like people took turns sitting down on one chair? how does that work? i imagined people sitting all in one line and us going to them, rather than them coming to us.

we had them take turns sitting in the chair. first we started with the groom’s side, starting with the parents and then to the eldest relatives to the youngest. we then did my side of the family, starting with the parents to the youngest. i think if you really want go traditionally you woudl have to do the ceremony at the groom’s home. it is more of a private event with the family and the bride. we kind of went a non-traditional route but the ceremony still holds the same meaning.

WOW, those are absolutely gorgeous. All that’s missing are the little birds to carry your veil. Everything was truly stunning!

rebecca,

regina b designed my pin, she customized it to fit the style of my dress by adding gold accented jewels and the floral design.

I love the pictures and the tea ceremony. I am Chinese marrying an American. We plan on incorporating a tea ceremony into the reception. Did you change after the ceremony into the qi pao for the tea ceremony, and then change back into the wedding dress for the reception? Was the tea ceremony held in the reception room or the cocktail area? Thank you.

Gorgeous qi pao. I’m also looking for a qi pao…Were you able to find one on-line or did you buy it from a local store? Thanks.
