Custom Keepsakes

July 17th, 2007 @ 1:38 pm by Mrs. Lovebug

Last month, Mrs. Bee blogged about cool find Toast and Tables. Last Friday, T&T featured its resident artist, Brooke Hagel and her beautiful, custom renderings of wedding gowns:

With just a photo of you in your dress, she’ll duplicate every last detail for a pretty keepsake.

Another custom-drawing option that may be slightly less sophisticated (but dang cute nonetheless): Etsy artist Fifi Lapin will draw “herself” in whatever outfit you’d like, including a wedding frock:

Thanks for posting this. I love Brooke’s work and I just emailed her for a price. What an amazing keepsake!

The Fifi stuff is too cute for words. Maybe I could do those for my ‘maids in their usual threads. Thanks for the post. :)

Any idea what the pricing is? (Approximately?) I wonder if she’ll draw guys also. I think this would make the cutest thank you cards!

I love the idea! I was fortunate enough to meet my dress designer at the trunk show I purchased it at, and he sketched a picture of me in my dress- I absolutely love it and want to frame it!

I loved this idea too. I think I am going to have my dad do my drawing since he is an artist. I think it will be a great keepsake!

Thanks Miss Lovebug for your post on Toast and Tables. Brooke is not only one of my best friends, but an amazing Fashion Illustrator. As a recently engaged bride-to-be, I’ll be using her illustrations on my “Save the Date” card.

Graciette - I know Fifi’s drawings are $40, but I couldn’t say how much Brook charges.

Mrs. Spider says:

I emailed Brook and she quoted me $300 (not including the frame & ribbon and shipping). I was soooo excited to get have her illustrate my wedding gown, reception dress AND chinese dress but at $300 a pop— I dunno.

Brooke’s sketches demonstrate an extremely focused talent in garment design and illustration. These sketches do not take 5 minutes to complete and anyone interested should realize they are purchasing an artist’s rendering - not some amateurish sketch. It is worth every penny of the $300 she charges! She did a sketch for me and I am absolutely astonished and amazed at what an excellent artist Brooke is!
