Pro Photos: Bluebell Portraits

July 17th, 2007 @ 1:04 pm by Mrs. Bluebell

First batch of pro photos (by Jane Heller) is portraits of us! Immediately after the ceremony, we took some family photos, enjoyed cocktail hour a bit, then headed down to the lake (Lake Champlain) to get pictures on our family’s land right by the water.

My veil actually flew off my head at one point from the wind!

After I got out of the water, I was going to put my shoes back on but was having trouble bending in my dress, so Mr. Bluebell put them back on for me!

New rings, plus the cufflinks I gave Mr. Bluebell that morning (they have tiny silver pigs on them since his Chinese name means “little pig” - how cute is that??) and the bracelet he gave me our first Valentine’s together.

On our way back to the house where the wedding was, we stopped on the driveway to take one picture with the house visible up on the hill behind us - just like the one we took right after we got engaged there!

More to come…getting ready, ceremony, and reception shots are all eagerly awaiting my selection of what to post! happy015

Hi Ms. Bluebell,
This is great! I had no idea about this site until another photographer saw my work here and e-mailed to congratulate me.
How cool is that. I might as well take this opportunity to say that if anyone needs a photographer… I will travel! Ha

Although I don’t know Jane, I DO know Mrs. Bluebell loves her. :) So much, in fact, that Mr. Bluebell teased her!

Where’d you get that gorgeous veil?

22.
Miss Bluebell says:

Mishi - thanks! :-) I had my veil made at Sposabella Lace in NYC; I blogged about my (great) experience with them here: http://www.weddingbee.com/2007/05/21/veil-a-riffic/

I was browsing all the laces myself to see what would look good with my dress, but the owner asked to see my swatch and then just pulled this one out and I agreed it was perfect! I believe the length is 108″ and it’s a flat mantilla style. Hope that helps!
