The flower escort cards.

The Candy Buffet was a huge hit! We bought so much candy and used twelve glass containers. All of the candy was practically gone by the end of the night, and I noticed several korean ahjumas running across the room with my glass containers! My mom decided to give them away to her friends and I decided to do the same with the rest of the containers.

Our candy buffet bags. I purchased them from Papermart and added labels to each.

The candy buffet was so popular that only half of our guests actually watched as we were cutting our cake.

The Tea Ceremony:

We found a nice photo montage tray at Target and covered the glass with a pretty red fabric.

The tea ceremony chairs were measured by my mom the day before our wedding. She created the chair covers and I spray painted the double happiness signs gold.

Everything was so beautiful. I loved all the personal touches you put in.

However, I think I would’ve been pissed if women started running off with my containers. I’m not as nice as you.

Hehe, I remember I was sitting alone at the sweetheart table as Allen was talking to all of the guests. I was so happy and relaxed at the time, and then I saw one of my mom’s friends giggling and running across the room with one of my candy buffet jars. It was the cutest one too and I was so shocked. At first I didn’t know how to react to it, but then I realized I would spoil the fun if I snatched the candy jar away from my mom’s friend. It was pretty crazy, everyone was taking the lace votives home and the flower arrangements without our permission. The caterer looked so worried that he couldn’t control the guests from taking our stuff.. In the end, I just let it all go and encouraged our guests to take whatever they wanted.

Your cake is gorgeous! Those colors compliment the design so well. And I love the containers that held your centerpieces.

Plus, it’s so cool to see someone else’s take on the green flower “cake”. Makes me happy to see it again. ;)

Congrats!

I found the candy buffet sign from Homegoods. I think we got most of the containers for the jars there too. Great place to shop for wedding decor!

Kate, I made the escort cards using the flower kit tutorial on Paper Source. I realized I didn’t have to buy the kits to make the flowers, I just made the petals free form with a pair of scissors. In addition, I bought flower tape and wire, along with clear tape to stick the petals onto the wiring.

Chasgirl, I bought the bags from papermart and created the labels using a clipart border that I enlarged using Illustrator. I almost wanted to buy premade labels with our monogram but I went the cheap route and created them myself.

DaintyD, I found the stand at Home Goods. I only found one and I coudln’t find it at any other location. That’s the thing about TJMaxx, HomeGoods, it’s kind of difficult to track another one of the same kind. Anyways, there are similar stands sold on Ebay. Hope this helps! :)

Wow. Everything is beautiful. I don’t know where to start. The escort card flowers stood out to me as well. I haven’t seen anyone else do that, and I’ve always loved looking at the Paper Source kits, though I’ve never actually made one. Where do you get the tutorial?

Also, how did you do the menu cards? Is it DIY, and if so how did you have it cut with that edge?
