Disney Bridesmaids

July 18th, 2007 @ 1:50 pm by Mrs. Bee

Miss Peppermint recently posted some of the dresses from Disney’s new wedding dress line.  The 6 collections by designer Kirstie Kelly - Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, Ariel - each have 6 different styles inspired by each princess.  You can view the entire collection of wedding dresses as well as their new Maidens line here.

Some of the dresses are quite nice, and they’re available at bridal boutiques such as Kleinfelds.  But do you think these lines will only appeal to Disney fanatics?  Would you consider a Disney bridesmaid dress?

Yes I would consider a Disney dress, but again I’m a Disney fanatic, so it would be no surprise to anyone.

At first I thought no way! I’m not a disney fanatic though! BUT, seeing these dresses I was really surprised! I like most of them for sure. Now it would just be about the prices!

I wouldn’t buy them *because* they were disney dresses, but i would check them because they’re pretty dresses — Depends on the pricing though.

The bridesmaids dresses are aesthetically average, but the Disney label creeps me out.

No, I would never buy a Disney dress. Ever.

the general sentiment in the comments for miss peppermint’s post on the bridal gowns was that the dresses were nice, but didn’t look worth the designer price tag, and I agreed. I think these BM dresses look more like they have the designer details commensurate with a higher price tag. still, if I were wearing one, I’d never admit to the disney label.

I love the blue dress. Actually I like all the ones in the 2nd picture. They do look more high end then the bridal gowns there and if they were a good price I would def buy them and wear for a wedding as a BM or a guest.

i think they’re really nice, with or without the disney label. i wonder if the disney label hiked up the prices though?

I think the dresses are nice, but like most pp, I worry about the price tag. Being a Disney fanatic though, I was sort of hoping for more of a selection. I only like a few from Jasmine and Belle. The BM dresses have more style, I wuld consider those.

I like the BM dresses MUCH more than their bridal line. There’s a page of them featured in the most recent issue of Inside Weddings.

As above, I wouldn’t buy simply because they were Disney. I do like some of the styles, and I think they’ve done a decent job of getting away from the cartoony look (good!)…so I’d certainly consider them.

I’m not a label hound and wouldn’t care one way or another. If the dress was pretty, in my price range, looked decent, sure why not! That said, I really like the pink one on the right in the second pic.

I am sooo shopping there! I love Disney still to this day! I will sit up in a blanket all bundled up and watch The Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast. Although I don’t like their bridal gowns as much as their bridesmaids dresses, but it would still be worth looking at!

I don’t care that they’re disney, they’re pretty.
