Fresh Flowers For the Picking!

July 18th, 2007 @ 4:55 pm by Mrs. Lovebug

Last month, we blogged about our upcoming batch of new characters.  Well, thanks to everyone’s suggestions (and the flower power of our artist), we’re pleased to offer a sneak preview of the beautiful bouquet to come:

Now all we need are some new bees to put these petals to the blogging “mettle”!  So if you’d like to join the hive as a blogging bride-to-bee, now’s a great time to apply.  We’re especially looking for brides marrying between November ‘07 and April ‘08 to join the Weddingbee team, to keep the hive busy through wedding “off” season.

So go and get blogging, because the sooner you apply, the sooner I can start the “This bud’s for you” puns.  And puns make me so very happy. ;)

(Note: we’re still reviewing a number of applications; if you haven’t heard from us yet, please be patient.)

It’s so exciting to see the new blooms! Good luck to everyone, and thanks for continuing to “pick” adorable icons, Mrs. Bee. ;)

That peony icon is SO pretty, now there will be an all-out war for the Miss Peony moniker.

All the icons are really cute. One suggestion: add some color to the hydrangea icon. I think different shades of blue would look awesome!!

If I were a blogger, I’d want the gardenia or magnolia, since I’m in the south. And maybe I’m missing something, but I thought magnolias were white… ?? They are all very pretty - good work!

there are pink magnolias and white ones. but since we’ve never had a pink icon, we thought we’d have a bunch this time around. :)

LOVE it!!!! I specifically picked to be married in February because it was in the “off” season and because I started falling in love with cherry blossoms. Too bad my hubby and I aren’t doing our big wedding until 2009. I definitely would’ve applied to be a bee.

Those are cute but I agree that the magnolia should be white. It’s much more traditional-besides, that icon does not resemble one anyway. The others are cute but I’d definitely tweak the magnolia before using it.

Ah I know I am late coming into this entry, but I love the gardenia! I plan on wearing one in my hair like Billie Holiday. :)
