…and back to reality aka work.
Then I got asked the following questions:
Question: How was the wedding?!
Answer: Our wedding was absolutely the most beautiful and happiest day in my life thus far.
The happiness I felt that day was unlike any other I’ve ever experienced. It was intertwined with confidence in knowing that through faith our marriage was going to be God-serving phenomenal journey, with contentment in knowing that I have a wonderful partner to help me weather through life’s storms, with anticipation of the lifetime of laughs to come, and with joy in knowing our closest and dearest were just as happy for us as we were for ourselves.
I think it showed because people told me I looked the happiest they’ve ever seen me!
Regrets? None. I don’t regret inviting only a small number of guests (most of them came–56 total). It contributed to an intimacy I wanted so adamantly as I love hanging out with people but really am a very private person inside. The food was excellent (some people told me it was the best wedding food they ever had) and the non-wedding cake was not missed. Some people were actually relieved there wasn’t dancing.
The best part? A refund from Auberge because our final costs were less than our third deposit. Woohoo! Budget planner strikes again! ![]()
Question: How’s Marriage?
Answer: I’ve only been married three weeks but there’s something about “being married” that has made Mr.Tomato and me a little sillier…a little more aware of each other…a little more accommodating (for now at least…we’ll see how long dirty clothes will last on the floor!).
Yesterday Mr.Tomato offered to do the laundry, made me the best pancakes in bed, and bought me a gerber daisy. Sometimes the simplest gestures are the sweetest. I know I know, it won’t last forever, but I’m definitely going to soak in the honeymoon stage for as long as possible. ![]()
Question: How Was The Honeymoon (Prague/Vienna/Budapest)?
Answer: I don’t remember the last time I had a two week vacation, and I love Europe, so really it was complete bliss. I LOVE traveling with someone who LOVES eating more than I do!!! We did have a couple of spats since we were both irritable from walking everywhere but hey, the making up part is fun. ![]()
Question: Where Are The Pictures?
Answer: Here’s a sneak preview! This is my favorite candid shot from a friend:
