Drawing Inspiration

July 24th, 2007 @ 3:00 pm by Mrs. Licorice

I wanted to make a mood board, too!

Top Row
Left: The wedding is located out in the country. A sign will help a lot! Picture from The Knot
Middle: I love twinkling lights! Picture from Love, Luck, and Angels
Right: The bridesmaids will wear this gown in pale jade, but Sister Licorice who is the maid of honor will wear chestnut. Picture from Melissa Sweet

Middle Row
Left: Invitation inspiration. Picture from Ceci New York
Middle: My gown! Picture from Lazaro
Right: A tablescape I love. Picture from The Bride and Bloom Magazine

Bottom Row
Left: A green and white cake! Picture from Elegant Bride Magazine
Middle: The ceremony site. Picture by me!
Right: Lush, organic bouquets. Picture from The Bride and Bloom Magazine

Yay! I really like how the colors and textures create a sense of harmony while interesting details create a bit of variation. The overall vibe is organic and quite romantic, I think. I love the lushness of the bouquet, but instead of a brooch, I will attach a locket that contains pictures of my mother and grandmother who have passed away. Making this definitely helped me see my overall vision.

I LOVE the Ceci New York invitation. It makes me wish I could go back and have black and white as part of my color scheme!

Our signs were made from cedar shingles, with ribbon hot-glued on in the shape of an arrow. Very helpful!

I adore your inspiration board. I made one using the some of the same images as well. I can’t wait to see your vision turn into reality!
