To save time, we took portraits before our ceremony at our ceremony/reception site - Marie Gabrielle in uptown Dallas, Texas. It was very relaxed, fun, and was definitely one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. It allowed us to spend cocktail hour mingling with some of our guests and taking only a couple photos with our guests before the reception started.

Everything just turned out so beautiful! Mind me asking how much time before the ceremony you had for pictures? We’re doing the same, but no idea how much to budget in.
AOEBuckeye- the photographer arrived at my hotel at 4pm, but the boys were late with the limo, so we ended up taking lots of pics of the girls and of me until they arrived. Our ceremony started at 7pm, so I would say we allotted approx 2.5 hours for pics beforehand
