The sashes will be shortened, the dresses pressed, and ready for me to pick up tomorrow.  I have already picked up the one OOT’ers completed dress.  We used Watters #7415 as the main inspiration for the dresses.  The seamstress did an awesome job at $50 per dress including labor, lining, boning, and any other “hidden” materials I didn’t shop.  A hookup at work got me both colors (a beautiful aqua and a Duchess Blue that looks gray in these photos) of dupioni silk for a very reasonable price.  Each dress came out to less than $100.

Please, please share the name of your seamstress, Miss Lime! For $50/dress, I’ll just have random things made for myself!

Where did you get the fabric? Your closes are the same as mine. Except I recently added a limey/apple green accent! I can’t stop! :-)

The right turq is so hard to find! I think I’ll have to have my bridesmaid dresses maid too!

Hey, all! I picked up the dresses earlier today, so I’ll be posting a review soon! Thank you for the comments, the girls love them, so that’s all that matters to me.

rzblna, I am definitely considering asking her to make other dresses for me just to wear.

karebearlbc, I found the fabric in one of my work vendor’s sample set.s He buys from a wholesale supplier, who he didn’t name but doesn’t sell to the public, anyway. Sorry! I had a heck of a time finding fabric, too. I went through many a bridesmaid line’s fabric swatch cards looking for it. LBC represent! ;). I think Mood Fabrics, which both Miss Pearl and I have previously blogged about, had some good ones - they were just out of my budget (I paid for the fabric for the girls).

The dress is nice– but why do you always block your face? Do you think we are a bunch of stalkers?! It’s very annoying.

Miss Lime

My BMs asked that I not show theirs, so I am respecting their wishes.

Also, Mr. Lime has asked me to keep certain details private and not to post too many pics of myself on such a widely read site for personal and work reasons. I’d share more if I were at liberty to.

I will be posting no blurred faces once we are married, though! I promise ;). I especially don’t want to mar my pro photographer’s work! I will also be more forthcoming about vendors, locations, etc. then.

[...] pressed them for me, so the silk dupioni is beautifully crisp rather than very wrinkly like in my previous post.  The quality of work is good, and she nailed the design from one image each of the front and back [...]
