Pollination Stamps

July 28th, 2007 @ 1:37 am by Mrs. Bee

We received a wedding invitation this week, and I loved the stamp they put on the RSVP card so I had to share.  It’s called pollination and comes with 4 different stamps that emphasize “the ecological relationship between pollinators and plants and suggests the biodiversity necessary to ensure the viability of that relationship.”

I think they put the bee stamp on our envelope on purpose! :)

Here’s the rest of the letterpressed invite set:

A website address that’s too long makes you not want to visit! ;)

Because it’s held at the Explorer’s Club, they had different nautical motifs on each piece of the invitation.

The only time I use Mr. Bee’s last name is on wedding rsvp’s because I have yet to change my name.

This is the 5th invitation we’ve received this month!  We have 1 wedding in August, and 4 in September (though two fall on the same date in NY and LA so we can only attend the one in LA).   But 4 this year isn’t bad considering we had 8 last year.

How many weddings are you attending/have you attended this year?

Great stamp series! Our pollinators are in trouble ecologically and I am sure you must know Mrs. Bee that commercial honeybees are not faring well these days on a global scale. I hope the other three stamps in the series are just as nice.

Those stamps are beautiful. Much nicer than the boring liberty bell ones that I have.

We haven’t gone to any weddings this year! But we do have one to go to in September.

Just my own!

My mom had those stamps and she used all of the ones with bats on them for bills because she decided they looked funny. Haha.

Silly question - even though your last names aren’t the same, shouldn’t you still be a Mrs.?

So far I’ve been to two weddings that I worked. Ours should be next in October, then a friend’s in December. I know lots of people who have gotten married (three out of the four Saturdays this month) but we are not close enough to any of them to be invited (people I knew from high school, that I keep track of solely through Facebook - I’m not a stalker!)

I like that calligraphy too!
We went to FI’s cousin’s wedding in May, a friend’s wedding last weekend, and ours is in 3 weeks! Then we just found out another cousin of FI’s is getting married in December right before Christmas, but we may be on our real honeymoon then….
So 3 or 4 including our own!

i agree with pp, I like the calligraphy. Wow it’s amazing to see how many weddings people attend. This year it’s only two, but I’m the MOH of one of them, so it’s been busy for me.
