About Mrs. Bell Pepper

My maid of honor was the first to get her hair done by Cali, my hair/makeup stylist. I remember her saying to me after getting her hair done, “Can I pleease take Cali with me back to Chicago?” Haha, all the girls loved Cali! She did hair and makeup for me, my mom, and the entire bridal party, and somehow without assistance she did everything just in time for our ceremony. She did everything my girls requested, including changing hairstyles at the very last minute to concealing tan lines. She has an amazing sense of style - I love her modern take on wedding updos. It seems like every style she does is so unique and different. I featured below some photos from our wedding and many photos of Philly brides who highly recommend her.

I think moms are the most difficult to please and my mom was pretty happy with her hair and makeup.

*** In between changing my dresses, I accidentily snagged my hair comb on my qipao and thought I totally pulled apart the updo. The force was so tremendous that I almost fell to the ground! I looked to see if there was any damage and everything was still in place. As you can see in the reception photos, my hairstyle still looks great.

Cali also did my hair for the rehearsal dinner. I decided to do a casual pulled back hairstyle instead.

I decided to book Cali based on the recommendations made by Vladi, a Philadelphia bride who had a romantic wedding at the Morris Arboretum. She had a pretty diverse bridal party and Cali did a wonderful job with all of the girls. I also loved the way she did the makeup on Vladi, especially the smoky eyes.

I love the flower pin in your hair. Can I ask where you got it?

Mrs. Bell Pepper: you may have noted this in an earlier post, but may I ask: where did you get the beautiful brooch/pin in your hair?

In a previous post, you mentioned that you used the song Tonight, Tonight as your bridal party intro song. Did you use the original version or an instrumental version? What were peoples reaction to the song?

I bought my hair pin from Regina B.

Christine,

We used the original version of the song Tonight, Tonight. The DJ only played the beginning portion and it sounds great in the museum. Everyone seemed to like the intro song.

Hi Mrs. Bell Pepper,

I know it’s been a while since your wedding, but do you happen to have any other close-up pics of your hairdo from that day? I absolutely love it! How would you describe it, or how did you describe it to your hairstylist during your trial? Do you have the pictures that you brought in to show her?
Many thanks! Lena
