Wedding Day: Part 2

July 30th, 2007 @ 9:26 am by Mrs. Tomato

Part 1

So where were we? Ah yes, the part where my hair looked like it belonged in a time warp.

But fear not, when you let it all out, you get this…

Soft, gorgeous curls! I loved how my hair looked. I could never do this at home. Wedding Day: Part 2 : wedding napa valley pictures post wedding Silly023 silly023 Yay for Annette! I also loved my sister’s (maid of honor) hair:

For no extra charge, Annette put in those faux pearls on the side. Isn’t that awesome?

Okay, so back to the timeline!

12:00 Bride and BMs eat lunch in SF

Annette was kind enough to allow us to eat lunch in the back room of her salon. We had bought food beforehand since there wasn’t time to eat a restaurant. Alice insisted on the “orange diet” for her lunch–carrot sticks and dried apricots! The rest of us joked that she should add cheetos to the mix.

12:30 Groomsmen depart for Napa from their respective homes

12:45 Groom departs for Napa (always allow extra travel time for the last-minute groom! I gave Mr.Tomato an extra hour without telling him so, hehe )

12:45 Bride and BMs depart SF and drive to Napa (it’s usually an 1 hr, 15 minute drive but again, I allowed an extra half hour in case something came up. As it turned out, it took 1 hr 30 minutes because of unpredicted traffic).

2:30 Bride and BMs arrive at Napa Cottages and check-in (I had called the cottages ahead of time to make sure it was okay)

BMs start changing into dresses.

Cheese! The bridesmaids are wearing earrings I made for them out of sterling silver and semi-precious briolette stones.

2:45 Coordinator arrives at Napa Cottages to drop off wedding dress and help bridal party as needed with makeup, corset, etc.

Photographers arrive at Napa Cottages.

Here I am, lounging on the bed, waiting for my bridesmaids to help me with my veil.

Veil is on! Here I am, trying to sneak a bite of my granola bar without smearing lipstick.

I find that picture of attempting to eat without messing up make up hilarious. The one of you lounging is beautiful, very photo journalistic.

Miss Tomato, you look amazing! I love reading your blog - you write SO well and coincidentally, I am considering Auberge for my wedding! We are also thinking about not having a dance band (which some people think is crazy since dancing is the “whole point” of the wedding! Can I ask what type of music you had instead (if any) and how people reacted? You said in Part 1 that some people were relieved so I am very curious!
