Preston Bailey Is A Genius

July 31st, 2007 @ 6:58 pm by Mrs. Spider

If my eyes tear up when I’m looking at something fantabulous, does it mean they are really drooling?

On a scaled down version, a few strands dangling from an arch/canopy/chuppah would be so pretty.  I’ll bet a DIY faux flower project could replicate this look.

You seldom see weddings done in a single color but an all white scheme is truly breathtaking.

At this wedding, petals pale in comparison to the drama of LEAVES down the aisle.

Agian, totally imagining a DIY project with faux bamboo and flowers.  Or even creating faux bamboo vases to give to your florist to fill with fresh flowers.

DIY candles wrapped with leaves anyone?

I also love the drama of all red centerpieces.

Again we go back to the simplicity and elegance of all white orchid centerpieces.

Preston Bailey

I’ve been married for months but nothing makes my heart skip a joyful beat more than pretty wedding delights! I still routinely check in on all my bookmarked wedding sites for little pick-me-ups throughout the day. Someone recently asked me if I could plan my wedding all over again, would I do it. Are you kidding me? I screamed, hell yeah!

the all white IS breathtaking… but after staring at it a while, it reminded me of hogwart’s dining room. :\

Lol @ the white dining room reminding you of Hogwarts. I can totally see it!!

Some of these are a bit too over-the-top for me. But I absolutely *love* the green & white centrepiece with the bamboo base, thanks so much for sharing these pics with us!

i’m very overwhelmed but in the bad way. i feel like the flowers just kind of…tossed their cookies all over the place? moderation is definitely key. i’d like them with just a little less stuff.

needless to say they are great inspirations. if i was going to go with flower centerpieces, i’d looking into the green and white with the bamboo ones. i like those.

I also think that the huge Preston Bailey arrangements are just too much–it’s a way of bashing your guests over the head with “I have so much money! Look how much I can spend on just flowers!” He’s obviously read his Veblen. However, I love the leaf votives, and some of the centerpieces.

Would I do mine again? Sure! I loved my wedding, but it would be fun to do it all again in a different color or scheme. ;) I saw an amazing color scheme of mango, leaf green, and aqua…

LOL to the flower explosion/overload comments! I agree, just a little bit o’ Preston would go a long way.

Oh my goodness, his work is amazing. I had no idea he made arrangements, etc. for so many well known people, but I can see why they would seek him out! I just hours to looking over and over his site alone, hehe.
