I Dream of Greenie

My original wedding colors were pink and brown. Despite my best efforts to stay loyal to Pink and Brown, Green kept creeping in so at one point, I welcomed Green with opens arm. I said hello Green, come in, sit down and stay for a while!

If you’ll remember, it took me a while to figure out the presentation of my apple candle placecards before finally deciding on shredded paper and baskets.

The shredded paper was inspired in part by this photo…

Source unknown, any information appreciated

and in part by the look of these Lucy Balls from Save-On-Crafts.

Unfortunately, these buggers were out of stock at the time of my wedding. They have since been restocked and I visit my little green balls and his friends all the time, dreaming of other DIY projects I could have used them for.

Oh how I could have hung you from somewhere!

And nestled you into my centerpieces somehow.

And you guys? I could have been um, petting you guys all day?

Would it be insane of me to order some of these just to have them like, around the house?  Ok, maybe I already know the answer to that question.

Lol. Why not use them for a coffee table floral arrangement? There. Now you have an excuse.

the “hanging” ball would make really cool modern xmas ornaments. you could string a few together, alternating with a few other different things, and hang them from the ceiling!

Hi Ladies,
I love the green stuff, too! One idea that I really want to use is something I could use help with - I want to make a shallow tray filled with grass. I’ve seen this done in several pictures. I think it’s usually wheat grass, which is a vibrant, lush green. I’ll have plenty of time to do trial runs, but what I really need is the tray! I can’t find anything (for a low price) that will lend itself to that project. If I can make it happen, I’ll use the trays to display the place cards. They could also be accent pieces and perhaps part of the centerpieces. It all hinges on what I can find/make for trays/containers. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks for the green inspiration!!
