I also thought about using a cute dorky toy as a favour, but I couldn’t find anything in budget. Then I had a brain wave and arranged and a transaction of cash + swapped goods for an origami menagerie with an online friend. Each guest will get an origami animal, plus a stack of shortbreads sized to look like a two tier wedding cake (I stole the idea from somewhere, probably Martha Stewart) that I’m making with the help of two of my best friends next week.
