Pro Pics - Church

August 1st, 2007 @ 6:03 pm by Mrs. Raspberry

We had a Catholic mass and it was beautiful! It was about an hour and we packed it full of music. Here are a few (ok many) pictures from the ceremony…

Your dress is beautiful! Are the pew flowers gladiolus? How far apart are they spaced? You don’t have to say exactly but was it expensive to do? I was thinking of having the same as my pew decorations but it is something I will scrap if it gets too costly.

BaghdadBride - those are gladiolus

Mrs. Raspberry, your dress was gorgeous! Did you purchase it in DC or at home in NY?
Do you have any recommendations for affordable bridal salons in the DC area? I have heard fabulous things about Hitched and I am so tempted to go since I live right down the street from it, but it is a bit out of my price range — I’ve definitely used up quite a bit of my dress money towards other aspects of the wedding. If you have any recommendations for anywhere in the area with lower price dresses, I would really appreciate it!

Thank you all for your kind comments!

We truly had the happiest day of our lives thus far.

To answer your questions:

The pew flowers are gladiolus. We spaced them every couple of pews since the church is huge. It was not that expensive to do because they are in season in July. We bought the flowers and my sister and friend put them together

My dress is Cymbeline Paris and I got it here in DC. I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Hitched in Georgetown - Carin and Julia are incredible - tell them Sarah Meyer sent you :)
They helped out in resolving our bridesmaid dress issue - we bought the Maid-of-Honor’s dress off the rack from Hitched

We played a ton of music during the ceremony… I plan on writing a post about all the music

The bridesmaid’s dresses were made in Thailand. We have a friend who lives there and she coordinated them being made. The woman who did our dresses makes dresses for the Queen of Thailand and is incredible. I was extremely pleased with the dresses!

and Dad- thanks for the comments :)
