Some shots of me and Mr. Bluebell getting ready just before the ceremony!
All photos by the fabulous Jane Heller.

my veil:

When I was off getting my hair done, Jane was hanging my dress and veil up all over the place (mostly on the balcony!!) for all these great shots.

My cousin is a professional masseur, so he gave Mr. Bluebell a little pre-ceremony massage while I was getting ready. Hehehe.

I had no idea she took this…

One of my bridesmaids did my makeup for me, and I was sooo happy with it!

my hair!

The rings! Last year when my brother and sister-in-law got married, my sister-in-law requested we find something cool in the house to use for the rings. Someone (my mom?) found this cool little wooden thing, and put a little moss on top for the rings to rest on, so we decided to make it an official family tradition! (Unfortunately there was some kind of mixup though, and during the actual ceremony, the rings were handed to us in a ring box. Honestly, I didn’t even realize it until we got photos back though.
But I’m still glad that Jane took a few pictures of the rings in here even if it wasn’t a part of the ceremony!)

I used my grandmother’s purse, from the 1950’s.

I forgot to paint my toenails until about 20 minutes before the ceremony…

A hug from my beautiful sister-in-law (and a sneak preview of bridesmaids opening their gifts)

A better shot of my hair! Ohhh how I loved it!!

Mom, bridesmaids, and ceremony reader all looking once I got the dress on.

My mom putting my something borrowed & old on me - my great-great-grandmother’s necklace from the 1870’s.

A semi-decent shot of my train from the balcony of the bedroom where I got ready.

I didn’t get around to doing my nails until about 3 minutes before the ceremony was going to start, which sent everyone into a bit of a panic. There was a lot of yelling “It’s clear! Seriously! It’ll be okay!!!” But, in fact, I didn’t spill a drop, and it was dry by the time we were actually ready to start walking!

I think this picture captures how I felt the best of any of these.

All ready to go!

Letting my nails dry just a liiiittle bit longer…

Wait, is it really time to go now?!?

And off we go!! With my maid of honor holding up my train and veil, we head down the hallway…
