Mrs. Kiwi's Picture
Mrs. Kiwi, Los Angeles Age and Occupation in 06: 27, Bookkeeper Fiance's Age and Occupation: 27, P.E. Teach/Coach @ private schools in LA Engagement Date: March 31, 2006 Wedding Date: November 3, 2007 Venue: Radisson Hotel About Me: I'm a bookkeeper who failed high school algebra. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, literally a street over from where I grew up with Mr. Kiwi, my honey of three years. We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!

Project Weddings

August 2nd, 2007 @ 6:23 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

Have you guys heard about Project Wedding? It’s a website made up of vendor reviews, forums, and photos for brides (and grooms) in California, New York/Jersey, Chicago and Hawaii! They expect to have more locations soon.

Last night I spent a good hour or so on the site, looking up reviews for our ceremony site and reception venue, favor ideas and alteration places. Also, I was glad to know that the bakery we chose to make our cake (Torrance Bakery) got better reviews than the other bakery we were considering. It’s nice to feel validated, isn’t it?

If your venue is not represented, you can add it and add reviews. It’s a really helpful site with many different categories: bachelorette/bachelor party sites, alterations, dance lessons to designers, makeup to rehearsal dinner sites… this site is great, with reviews from real brides.

Keep an eye out for future locations to be added and enjoy!

aww, i wanted that bakery. unfortunately, our location already has someone that they work with and they’re included with my package so i have to go with them. too bad their customer service sucks and they are not as creative as their name suggests (rockwell’s creative cakes)

i stumbled upon that site a few months back and it’s been a good help. i found a few cool venues that i didn’t find on herecomestheguide.com. it’s great having additional resources. plus the reviews are helpful. it’s like yelp for weddings.

I love this site as well! I love how you can look at other brides’ pictures if you’re interested in the vendor they chose. Very helpful indeed!

bridalhood.com is also like project wedding, but support alot more regions. they claim to have info for over 20,000 vendors. their vendor service request feature is kinda neat. you provide the vendor type and budget in your request and vendors can provide estimates…
