About 3 months after Mr. Pumpkin proposed, I bought the Martha Stewart Wedding Planner.
Inside there are sections for each area of planning (ceremony, reception, flowers, etc…) and information on each of these areas. Since I had already purchased every issue of MS Weddings and InStyle Weddings from the previous 5 years, I did not find the information particularly helpful but there is a lot in there to help if you are just starting out. What I found most helpful were the pockets in each section for you to keep and organize ideas of your own. In the back there are also two Ziplock type plastic envelopes as well as a place to keep business cards organized. This is what my book looks like now:
I will eventually go through it and organize everything so that I can save it as a keepsake, and in that respect I am happy that I bought it. Looking back though I think I could have just used a good ole Trapper Keeper, which would have held more stuff, and not spent the extra money. Are you using a planning book? If so, which one and is it working for you?
On a side note, remember my post on chiavari chairs and how I couldn’t find a picture of the ceremony programs that I loved? While looking for a picture of the planner to post I found them here!
Aren’t they cute? I would have loved to have done something like that but they don’t work without the chiavari chairs! Damn you chiavari chairs! Why do you torture me so?!?
