About Mrs. Licorice

The Envelope, Please…

August 2nd, 2007 @ 3:38 pm by Mrs. Licorice

All of my guests have finally received their invitations!

Here is the finished product:

(designed by Wiley Valentine)

I love them so much I could eat them. I adore the floating, clean, slighty vintage, organic look! The bellyband is just so darn cute, and I am enraptured by the response card. Sigh….

I only wish I could have gotten these to the calligrapher in time. I have okay penmanship, but I love the elegant and flawless work of a true calligrapher. I had no idea it would take a few weeks to get all the envelopes addressed. Oops.

I did what I could do:

It could be a lot worse. At least it’s legible.

But the best part of all of this? Three friends called to tell me the invites are fabulous, and they already put their response cards in the mail. :)

These are absolutely gorgeous, love the details and the fact that you used bright colors on letterpress (which makes them that much more unique)!

Yeah, your handwriting is hella better than mine was.

Don’t forget to search weddingbee for “phonograph.” Miss Lovebug posted some ideas about including phonographs in the reception decor, and that’d tie in nicely with your response cards.

You definitely need a Nipper statue to guard your guestbook, for example.

In fact, the more I think about it, the more certain I am. Nipper. Definitely.
