yes… we used Martha Stewart tissue paper pom-poms as pew decorations!

if you look closely you can almost see my crinoline that I dyed blue!

i wonder if i can get away with not hiring a professional. if i can find a friend that photographs like you friend. definitely.

jessica - yes the pig is there on purpose. my husband’s side is chinese and this is the year of the pig. so our little golden piggie is supposed to bring us good luck

joanne - my dress is oleg cassini from david’s bridal and yes it is in champagne. i loved it so much

lety - if your friend has experience in photography (with a great camera and multiple lenses) i’d look at their prior photos first and then decide. i would at least have two or more friends with great cameras/lenses if you decide not to hire a professional.

LB - thank you! yes i did dye the blue crinoline according to the directions on the dye package. i loved the results, it didn’t stain my washing machine and the only thing i really had to do is steam it since it was so wrinkled. i’ll try to devote an entry about it
