About Mrs. Bee

Real Weddings Icon

August 11th, 2007 @ 2:27 pm by Mrs. Bee

Hi everyone!  I’m in sunny Southern California this weekend visiting my family. smiley1054

Earlier this week I was emailing with event coordinator Amy of Amy’s Guide, and she sent me some lovely photos of a wedding she recently coordinated.  So I thought that we should ask wedding planners and photographers to send us pictures of inspirational real weddings, and turn this into a regular feature.

We already have a “Real Weddings” feature, but we don’t have an icon for it yet.  So we need the help of our wonderfully creative weddingbee readers - please give us some suggestions for our “Real Weddings” icon!

What about a little directional sign that says “real weddings” with an arrow. You know the kind that you often see on a stake put into the ground to show guests which way to go to get to the wedding site…??!

How about a wedding cake or the back of a car with a little sign on the windsheild or bumper that says “just married.”

I like the “just married” idea too!

Another thought — how about a traditional bride and groom standing side by side holding up a “real weddings” sign or even two wedding rings with a “real weddings” banner wrapped around.

I like the arrow/sign idea. And you can have it scribbled out like the “real world” does. I don’t know what kind of font that is, but I think that would look cool.

I like the ‘Just Married’ idea! I’d feel like I was sharing in their celebration. :)

I like the traiditonal bride and groom with the sign, like a cake tipper with a banner!
Looking forward to the icon and reading the feature more!

I was going to propose two hands; where the ring is being slipped on the finger and maybe a “just married” sign underneath or ” mr& mrs”

but realized that not every wedding does a ring exchange..or has wedding cakes…
mayber two people holding a string thats in a knot ; and” just tied the knot” written underneath? (knots are represented in Christian and Ive noticed Hindu ceremonies..)

Just thoughts..

How about a girl bee with a tiara/veil and a boy bee with a bow tie flying side by side?
