Rainbow Roses

Rainbow Roses : wedding flowers Rainbowroses.jpg

Aren’t these weird?? I just got an email from one of my floral suppliers who wanted to share a new product. These colors are created via a patented, systemic process that creates multiple colors in Holland.

I can’t decide if these are really cool or just really UGLY - but I’m leaning towards cool. Personally, I wouldn’t use them for my own wedding, but it’d definitely make for a unique party!

The bad news is, they’re rather pricey - they go for about 3-4x’s as much as regular colored roses….

I think they are cool, but I agree with you: maybe not so much for a wedding…they seem lovely for a birthday bouquet though!

I think they’re hideous! :-)

Why do that to a beautiful, natural flower? I’m not one for dying in flowers.

I don’t think they’re dyed - I think they’re bred to do that in Holland, I might be wrong though - which is it Mrs. Plum?

They’d make for quite a statement maybe at a commitment ceremony? My niece would think they were pretty cool if she got to drop these down the aisle as a flower girl….

Maybe if your wedding theme is ‘circus’…

Whoa. Not sure how I feel about those. Maybe for a child’s birthday instead of a wedding? I did a quick search online and found a blog that explains how they are made with dye:

I saw those at a local supermarket once. I don’t care for them at all. I think they look weird.

I hope they aren’t bred to do that either. Just me though.

Too each his own I suppose.

aesthetically displeasing… I like Mother Nature’s color combinations better.

I wonder if they were genetically engineered or hibridized, to create that effect (well GMO is not that accepted in europe)
Having worked in that flower-altering field (and having left for medical research) the scientist in me thinks they’re interesting…but really bad rainbow theme.

Can they could costumize the colors? Not that I’d be able to order, it would probably make them pricier and you’d probably have to pre order them a few months in advance!

Wow - those are really different. Perhaps a pallette that offers softer colors would be a bigger hit? Pastels maybe?

They’d definitely be a conversatin piece if they were incorporated in a wedding though, don’t you think?

LOL - I totally agree. I wasn’t suggesting these to be used as a wedding - just something interesting I wanted to pass along! :)
