About Mrs. Snow Pea

Another project down! Like Mrs. Plumeria, I seem to get some of my better ideas under pressure. If allowed too much time, I go through so many design phases that nothing gets finished. Using the cardstock leftover from the programs, I threw together a simple menu cover and menu card.

The menu card doubles as the table number to avoid clutter at the table. I used an 8.5X11 sheet of pink cardstock and printed the number on both sides, so it can be seen from 2 angles.

I typed the menu card in Microsoft Word as well. I cut them down to 4″x10″ - slightly smaller than the menu cover so that a border of pink would be exposed.

Then I stamped each one in gold.

Using glue dots, I stuck each menu card into the menu cover on the right hand side. I only have 11 tables, but I made an extra just in case. I plan on keeping it for my scrapbook. I also use the extra as my guinea pig.

I even included the Children’s Entree into the menu which is chicken fingers and french fries. I was being funny and typed it in Fench. I don’t know what made me do that, but I thought I would amuse our friends who took fFench in school. I tried translating it and ended up with “Les Droights de le Poulet” which is literally the fingers of chicken. It wasn’t exactly “Chicken Fingers” which is the chicken tenderloin. I was going to leave it like that, but I remembered the chef at 3 West is French and I didn’t want to insult him or be ridiculed! So I just changed it to The breast of chicken and fries.

I must need sleep!

de le….du….whatever…it still sounds funny, but i agree…you did the right thing…the breast of chicken and fries sounds just fine! :) we don’t want any angry chefs around…especially at your wedding.

I didn’t see an 11 on the above picture - just in case! I mean, I see 11 menus and not 10, but I didn’t see a #11. Don’t know if that matters - ignore me!
