The Lilys, Part 4: The Wedding Party

August 13th, 2007 @ 10:25 am by Mrs. Lily

Part 1: Getting Ready
Part 2: Portraits
Part 3: Ketubah Signing

I forgot to put in the pics of the bridal party before the ketubah signing — whoops. For some reason there are a lot more of the girls than the guys. Guess we’re just prettier. Ha!

Again, all of these exquisite photos are courtesy of Sergio Photographer — he holds the copyright on these so pretty please do not distribute them.

These girls are too cool for school:

And the boys, they’re drunk… just kidding. They’re having fun:

This seems to be the only group shot of the girls and guys…???:

Wow your bridesmaids all look like they could be in a print ad for the dresses. You may have already answered this but where are the groomsmen suits from?

Whoops! I called this post “Ceremony” when it’s really “wedding party” — sorry!

The groomsmen suits were from After Hours, which is a chain. They were easy to work with. Mr. Lily is wearing his own suit, but we rented a shirt from After Hours for him so he gelled well with the other guys. Ditto for the Dads. They had their own suits, but shirts from After Hours.

I’m almost positive that my bridemaid’s bouquets will look just like that (and I’d love to be able to show them a pic to give them an idea).

Mrs. Lily - can you confirm what sort of flowers were used?

Hi Lori,

For the bridesmaids it’s green and white hydrangea, white roses (although they look pinkish in this picture they are white with maybe a hair of blush), white ranunculus, and some sort of green berry type of thing. Hope that helps!

I got the dresses from NetBride… they were fantastic. They are buy Jim Hjelm. The flowergirl dresses are from there too. For details on the bridesmaids dresses see my post called “A Sea of Green”:

Mrs. Lily,

I love every one of your recap posts. Everything looks just like it came out of a magazine — and hit “Comment” intending to say this even before I read all of the above comments! The bms dresses are stunning!

Beautiful beautiful photos and wedding! :)

You guys certainly know how to make a married lady feel great. Thanks for all the high compliments! Weddingbee was a great resource for me so a lot of the ideas in the wedding came straight from other bloggers — thanks to all!

Wow! At your ketubah signing what did you do about your husband’s Hebrew name in the text?

The rabbi gave him a Hebrew name that sounded a lot like his English name and I just sounded out his middle name :-)

That was helpful. Mine, I believe, is off white roses, green carnations (instead of the hydragena) and brown hypercium berries…instead of the green. I think it will look with chocolate brown dresses.

You’re whole wedding (at least what I’ve seen) has been very beautiful. Especially your dress!!
