Are you sick of us yet??? Hope not, because here are a million ceremony shots.

All of these exquisite photos are courtesy of Sergio Photographer — he holds the copyright on these so pretty please do not distribute them.

Our gorgeous programs were designed by Mr. Lily (sorry, I blacked out our names because I’m a freak like that):

We had a jazz trio play while guests were waiting and when we walked down the aisle. This was very special for us because the saxophonist is a very very close family friend. You can see our lanterns well in one of these:

Very beautiful! I have to ask-where did you get the candle vases that lined the aisle? I am doing the same thing but yours look much nicer than what I have planned. Do tell!

Sergio is a great guy. He was my mentor for the Las Vegas Photography Convention. He is highly underated deserves more attention!

Lydia says:

Mrs. Lily, did you set up the candles & curly willow by yourself, or did the florist do it? I’m wondering where I could purchase similar curly willow.

Miss Emerald says:

OMG, I love how the sun set during your ceremony!! That is AMAZING, I wish I had thought about that and planned it that way… but then the ceremony might have had to be too late. Oh well.

Ooh I love the stationery motif — can I ask where you got the inspiration for the dandelion? Does it have special meaning to you two, or did you just choose it as a nice visual?

Ummm… where to begin? Thanks for all the great comments!

Well, the suits are from After Hours, except for Mr. Lily, bought we bought the ties as gifts.

The candles are from a Mexican grocer in Tucson — they are called novenas candles and they burn really slowly. I burned them for several days first so that they would be low enough that the wind wouldn’t get them.

I didn’t set up anything myself… I worried it would be too much for me so the florist did it. I don’t know where she got the curly willow… sorry!

As for the dandelion, that was all Mr. Lily. It kind of meshed with our invitations and welcome basket cards, which all had a sort of old-school flower theme. Everything printed was Mr. Lily’s doing. He has a really good eye (I’m not biased).

Hope that helps!!!!!

Miss Lily -
Your photos are so beautiful! What a gorgeous wedding you had!!

If you wouldn’t mind, I have one question. I love that you had a jazz trio play your ceremony music. I’ve been considering doing something like this (and need to make a decision very fast!!) but am having trouble envisioning what music exactly they would play for the processional/recessional. Mind sharing your choices (or at least inspirations?)

Thank you! And again, your wedding is SO beayooootiful!

Mrs. Lily says:

jlb07: You’re never going to believe this, but I can’t remember what the songs were. I need to ask our friend who played. We had decided on songs and then my parents said they hated them. So our friend came over two days before the wedding and played a bunch of stuff for us and we picked. My head was so full of last minute decisions that I no longer have a clue what the songs are. I’ll try to find out for you. A tip though — the band told us they could play anything, but the key was to make sure it was slow enough… jazz musicians are good at changing the tempo.

:-)

mrikagurl says:

Ms. Lily I’m confused. I thought you signed the ketubah in the other ceremony? Or was that just your witnesses?

15.
Bee Icon
Mrs. Lily says:

mrikaguir: We would have signed the ketubah in the earlier ceremony, but we were married on a Saturday and that is the Jewish sabbath. Technically we couldn’t be married until the sabbath ended at sundown. So we did most of the ketubah ceremony in private, but actually signed the documents while everyone was present. Sorry to confuse you!

i love the curly willows!!! may i ask how much they were from your florist?

19.
Bee Icon
Mrs. Lily says:

Sorry KP, I’m not sure exactly how much they were since I just threw out the bill. I want to say a few hundred dollars, but don’t quote me because I really don’t remember. I think the cost was rolled into the decorating the aisle fee…

Thanks!

JenniferB says:

Mrs. Lilly- Is you jazz trio from Tucson or NY? I am looking for a jazz trio in Tucson! Do you have contact information? Thanks for sharing all your pictures!

25.
Bee Icon
Mrs. Lily says:

Colleen: The bridesmaids dresses are by Jim Hjelm and the color is Tahitian.

JenniferB: The trio was from Tucson, but… they don’t really do weddings. They are called the Blue Moon quartet and play a lot at Cushing St. They really played because the saxophonist is a really really close family friend and I begged him. You can ask them if you want, but someone at our wedding asked and they said no. Sucks, I no. E-mail me if you want more info :-)

JenniferB says:

Thanks Mrs. Lily, I’ll go check them out at Cushing St. Just the excuse I’ve been needing for a martini! Maybe at the very least they can point me in the direction of musicians who WILL do weddings!
Thank you!
