And The Winner Is…

August 15th, 2007 @ 11:00 am by Mrs. Peony

We decided to go with Danny Weiss! Thank you to everyone who gave their input - I really appreciate it! At the end, it came down to two things:

  1. Danny would cost about $1,000 more. But just the fact that we were still considering him made us realize that we liked him that much, that he was worth the extra money.
  2. His personality - we could really picture him as a part of our wedding, making it all the more fun and beautiful. I also loved the fact that he was the only photographer who emailed us after our appointment to let us know how much he appreciated meeting us. Even something as small as that can make a big impact when choosing vendors; it really shows that they care and are excited to be a part of your big day.

As a sidenote, since we both liked Yun so much as well, we may end up using him for our Chinese wedding.

Danny offers several packages, but the one we’ve chosen is $5,200, which includes the following:

  • 10 hours of photography by Danny
  • Associate photographer
  • 30 page 12×12 fine art album
  • Engagement or Post Wedding “No stress portrait session” (we will probably have an engagement photo session in October, with the colorful foliage as our backdrop…I think it’ll provide a nice contrast to our spring wedding)
  • Online gallery for sharing
  • A full set of 4×6 proof prints (Danny said they can range anywhere from 600-1000)
  • DVD of digital negatives

I can’t wait to work with him!
