About Mrs. Jelly Beans

Details are all falling into place. Still tons to do but you know what, I still love wedding planning. Am I insane to be saying that 10 days before the wedding? Or perhaps I am in total and utter denial. Hmmm….

Anywhoo, I got my garters in the mail along with my dress monogram. And can I tell you just how much I love them!!! Ooodles and oodles!

I purchased all three from Handcrafted Creations. I highly, highly recommend her. You know that warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you meet someone who is passionate about their work and loves weddings almost as much as you do? Well this is definitely a warm and fuzzy moment! Victoria was very prompt in answering emails with my endless questions. I swear I had no idea there were so many options when it came to my garter. I ended up getting a Eiffel tower charm for my garter. Super cute! :)

It was so exciting receiving them in the mail. I was thinking of “breaking them in” or is that a silly notion that I thought up while I was dreaming about our wedding?

My dress monogram.

Thank goodness my mom and MOH can sew. Otherwise we would be in big trouble.

Are you wearing TWO garters?

Moi says:

Cute. Expensive tho.

The one I tossed for our wedding was subsequently tossed again by the gal who caught mine. Hope the tradition is passed along!

Agree w/ what I think M35 is getting at, though: I wouldn’t have put my own initials on the one being tossed to someone else (extra expense and why would they want another person’s initials on it?).

Tofu- yes it will replace my dress tag. You could really sew it on anywhere. :)

M35- I was going to wear my toss garter during the reception and the other one for Mr Jelly Beans. :)p

Moi- the monogram was free for the second garter so not an extra expense. I wasnt really gearing it for them to pass along, great idea though. More like a momento of our wedding.

For the monogram, is that your maiden initials or your married initials? just wondering, i think it is cute but what would i put, DH last initial or mine?
