An Unexpected Gift

August 16th, 2007 @ 8:25 am by Mrs. Peony

Last Thursday Mr. Peony and I returned home from another long day of work to find a package waiting for us. It was from our photographer, Danny Weiss, whom we had just booked! We opened it to find a wrapped gift:

z103830

We eagerly unwrapped the gift to uncover the following:

z103831

A package of microwavable popcorn; the Four Weddings and a Funeral DVD; the My Big Fat Greek Wedding DVD; an envelope which included a confirmation letter, a copy of our contract, and a photographer’s checklist for our wedding; and a thank you card which read,

Dear Miss and Mr Peony,

Just a little something to put you in the wedding mood. Looking forward to the big day!

All my best,
Danny

I love our photographer! Receiving something as sweet and thoughtful as this just further confirmed my feelings that we had chosen the right person for the job. Thanks, Danny!

Receiving this gift from Danny today is perfect timing, because I was going to post something he had written on his blog the other day:

Wanted: Bride/Bride and Groom

If you are recently married and want to get back into your stylish, sophisticated, very vogue wedding outfits for a funky, hip, urban bridal shoot out read on…

I am looking for a couple or a bride alone that are very comfortable in front of the camera for a fashion-esque shoot. You must be willing to get back into your dress and suit/tux for the shoot. Of course if you are not yet married and have access to the proper attire that works too!

This will be happening in the next couple of weeks.

If you are interested please send a bit about yourself and a recent photo to:

danny@dannyweissphoto.com

So all you fashionista brides - I know you’re out there - shoot him an email and a picture! Believe me, you’ll be glad you did!

Yes he does! I even asked him if I can post his “Wanted” on Weddingbee! He was already familiar with the site (I think a lot of photographers are at this point - great work, Mrs Bee!) and he may submit something for Shutterbugz when he has some free time!

our florist sent us a bouquet of flowers - even before we told her we were going with her (we knew though after that first meeting!), and gave us a book about flowers as a wedding gift after we booked her. such a nice thoughtful touch that really changes the way you think about vendors. :-)
