Mr. Snow Pea and I went for his and her manicures yesterday. It was so much fun. He acted like he didn’t like it, but he did. He has 2 older sisters. He won’t admit it but he is such a metrosexual - he tells me what not to wear!
He dragged his feet going into the spa for his manicure and next thing I know, he’s getting his eyebrows waxed! Here he is getting all polished up and I am getting my pedicure.
Are you able to get your fiance to go get pampered? What sort of pampering did you have done?
We talked about it…but then he decided to wimp out

The closest we got was when the father of the groom informed both of his sons (the other being the best man) that they were leaving to get haircuts right now, so put some shoes on!
hahaha! A friend of ours tricked my FI into going. He stomped his feet. Sulked until it was his turn. Nearly ran out the door. Quite the temper tantrum for a grown man. (in all honesty, I think he was petrified. It was his first time being inside a salon) We did mani/pedi/eyebrows. He’ll never admit it… but he loved it! I snuck photos of him in the spa chair, practically drunk with relaxation.
Mr Ant is a closet metrosexual too! He is always telling me what not to wear… He actually helped me pick out my wedding dress.
I treated him to his first pedi yesterday. I know he secretly enjoyed being pampered.

haha, my FI is a closet metro too! but his fetish are shoes. i think he’ll go for the mani/pedi, but not much else.

i have tried numerous times to convince jess to do it but he won’t, on the basis that his feet are pretty nice anyway (i have to admit, for a guy, they really are). i still think it would be fun though!!!

I talked him into his first pedi a couple of years ago and now he goes more often than I do, and he opts for the upsell “spa pedicure” because he likes the salt/mask on his legs! He’s gotten a manicure a couple of times and says he’ll do it for the wedding, but he should start now so his hands are in better shape. And he gets his brows done, but never good enough… they don’t trim them and he won’t let me so he has a couple of REALLY LONG eyebrow hairs that bug me. I say “if you’re getting the brow wax, what’s wrong with a little trim???”
Oh yeah. DH reminded me that it *is* called a MAN-icure. Cuticles really do show in the “hands” close-up photo with the new wedding rings. I wish he’d gotten a super foot-softening pedi, too. All that honeymoon time barefoot (beach, bed, etc.)
HAHA, I dragged the husband with me to my facial place before the wedding. We also stopped at a nail place that’s nowhere near our house, he didn’t want to risk running into anyone! =P He got a mani/pedi in anticipation of all those ring pictures. Never again will he let me do that to him!

Heh, great photos - love the expression on Mr. Snow Pea’s face! I could probably convince my fiance to get a manicure - he’s no stranger to them as he’s a professional close-up magician and works with his hands, so he likes to get a manicure before every show. But I think he would probably leave the eyebrow waxing to me - lol!
