Nicole Wong Clark, To Top It All Off

August 17th, 2007 @ 12:21 pm by Mrs. Petunia

Now that we’ve decided to go full force on the Monopoly theme, we have contracted the immensely talented Nicole W. Clark to create a one-of-a-kind cake topper for us.

Nicole requests detailed responses on a questionnaire and a bevy of pictures as a guide for her custom brides and grooms. Of course, the point is to make them look as close to the couple as possible. She even re-creates bouquet colors, head pieces, dresses, etc.!

I’m so desperate to see ours, it’s maddening!

I’m also of the opinion that she is QUITE reasonable, at least in comparison to what I saw other cake toppers going for! Your basic couple will run you $105; $18-$25 per additional child or pet.

I leave you with some of her work, but visit her website to get an even better view!

I love this girl’s dress, and I didn’t even see it in person!

TOTALLY worth every single penny of $105. I tried to make one myself. After six trials, ridiculous amounts of time and many craft store excursions I’ve probably spent just about as much and they aren’t nearly as cute! Perhaps I will throw all six of my figurines in the trash and just call her!

Adorable find!

Hmmm…I just tried the link and it worked…

However, if I try to enter the address directly, I get nothing. Weird.

Maybe try directly to the gallery:

I had figures like that made for my sis and BIL as a surprise for their wedding (different vendor, great work too though). They were such a hit! They were spot on– I mean it looked like a tiny little BIL! :-) The woman even made a little sign with their names and the wedding date, and a base that was a replica of the spot where they got married– the Imagine logo in Central Park. It was great and really short notice (they moved their wedding up– she did it in a week). http://stores.ebay.com/Claytoppers

She sells on ebay and on etsy.com.

Another cake topper I’ve found that is actually much cheaper is:

A couple people on the Atlanta Knot message board have ordered from them and loved their topper. But, they are booked solid through 2007.

Hello Everyone,

I came across this messaging board, and just wanted to thank everyone for their kind compliment regarding my little cake toppers. I am including some pictures of some couples below who have had their mini-selves made in traditional attire.

If you are interested in having a mini-version of yourselves on the top of your wedding cake, please contact me at nicolewclark@gmail.com, or visit my website at http://www.nicolewclark.com!
