Mrs. Petunia, Ft. Lauderdale Age and Occupation: 31, College Professor Fiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Engineering Student/Part-time Barista Engagement Date: December 8, 2006 Wedding Date: March 2, 2008 Venue: Riverside Hotel Blogging Since: August 6, 2007 About Me: Our original idea of running off to get married quickly turned into an event with 100+ guests once other people got involved and I, too, got swept away in the lovely madness that is wedding planning. Mr. Petunia and I are obsessed with all things World of Warcraft, Monopoly, and Nintendo, so we’re planning on including some fun “game-y” details into our wedding.
About Mrs. Petunia

I kind of knew pretty early on — being not so crafty and having participated in plenty of favor-making activities for others’ weddings (thank you very much) — that I would not want to make my own favors per se.I realize of course that this makes them more expensive, but it was one job I was willing to pay for.

Mr. Petunia and I began by agreeing to have an edible favor. Enter Boca Bons! A Boca Bon is “truffle, fudge and brownie all rolled into one” and my, are they rich! They come in many flavors, including Cappuccino Almond, Peanut Parfait, and Triple Chocolate, which were the ones we tasted and which look like this:

The Boca Bons company does a very cute packaging job. When I went to visit them, they had catalog upon catalog from which to choose the little “trinkets” to decorate the boxes. These are their seaside-inspired ones, though many other options were available:

But we still thought we could add a touch of our own. Enter the wine charms I found at Wrapables.com:

And what do you get when you put these together?

Mr. Petunia prefers the first sample one, while I’m more fond of the latter. Perhaps we could have both?

All in all, they won’t come cheap. Each favor will run about $6.50, including our cost for purchasing the wine charms and the cost for the Boca Bons themselves, but we just can’t resist!

Mmm, those sound so yummy! My afternoon chocolate cravings came early!

I love the packaging-so cute and fun! They both are amazing looking!! I would say if you’re going for upbeat and fun the first one, and if you’re going for just a bit of playfulness, the second option!

Too cute! I love them!! You can definately do both, I think it you alternate bow styles (#1, #2, #1, #2, etc.) at the tables it will look really good and still be cohesive.

that is super cute! i especially love the wine charms. i like the first ribbon personally but i don’t see why you couldn’t do both, and just have them alternating. that would be great.

Great idea. $6.50 is too expensive for me, but for those interested, the wine charms can be made as DIY.
