With quite a few dresses to wear, I also went through quite a few shoes. Here’s a review for you while they are still available. Mama Pea actually bought 2 really great pairs of shoes at the Jersey Gardens Outlet Mall that were very comfortable and bridal looking. Both were made of a lacey fabric. I’ll have to get the info on those.
My Bridal Shoes:
Rating: GOOD
Price: $47 Elegant Bridal Discount

Review: Very comfortable. Just make sure you order 1/2 size smaller than what you normally wear. I wore these during the Rehearsal (6 hours) and the day of the Wedding (4 hours). I ran through the rain in them and they didn’t stain.
Foot Petals:
Rating: AMAZING
Price: $18.95 (I got them on sale for $12) Nordstrom
I also recommend getting the Foot Petal Straps $6.95

Review: I was skeptical, but they were totally worth it. Who would’ve thought that this little piece of foam would provide such relief. These added cushion and traction for the bottom of foot. That helped eliminate that pain you get at the bottom of your feet due to the pressure and rubbing of wearing heels for hours.
Flipflops for Photos in Central Park:
Rating: OUCH OUCH OUCH
Price: $9.99 Ann Taylor Loft

Review: What should have been the most comfortable shoes turned out to be a pain. They were great in terms of height when I took off my wedding shoes for photos on the grass. They were comfortable as flip flops. But these in particular left a black and blue mark on the top of my foot due to the intersection of the strap and thong. I sucked it up anyway and it WAS worth it to relieve my feet for a little while before the reception, but OUCH!
Cheongsam & QiPao Shoes:
Rating: OK to GOOD
Price: $71.99 Bluefly

Review: They were a tad higher than my wedding shoes. They looked hot and elongated my carrot legs for my Cheongsam, but the extra height gave me such a back ache. They were incredibly comfortable; soft straps, felt lining, and leather. My only complaint was I didn’t like the way they tie. It never looks neat no matter how you tie them.
Dinner Shoes:
Rating: GOOD
Price: $45 DSW (on the sale rack) Also available at Next tag for $60.

Review: Soft silky straps around the front of the shoe made these so comfy! I walked 21 blocks and through Central Park. Of course I was tired, but I was amazed how long my feet lasted in these. I wore these for 5 hours.
If you’ve had experience with a really comfortable shoe that you would like to recommend, post it here!
I have the same shoes for my wedding in October (the first ones). I’m glad they were comfortable!!! They do tend to slip off my ankle, so I’m going to have to find something to push my foot back into the shoe. Thanks for the reviews!
