Historic Family Photos Part II

August 23rd, 2007 @ 12:27 pm by Mrs. Onion

Last time I shared some historic images from my family. Today I wanted to share some images from Mr. Onion’s family. First up — his parents’ wedding. His mother was 19 and his father was 25 when they got married. Doesn’t she look SO young?! She is wearing her mother’s wedding dress that was also worn by two of her sisters.

And just for fun — a picture of his parents smooching, and then a picture of my parents smooching! I couldn’t resist.

And both our parents are still married (happily most days)! ;)

I love this kind of stuff!
Makes me really want to do a good job of recording our wedding day for our kids to enjoy when they grow up.

I’m planning on including them (with many others) in a slideshow — I’m using photostory which was recommended by a weddingbee reader. So far so good — just have to figure out how to burn it to a DVD.

I plan on framing and putting the photos of my parents and his parents cutting their wedding cake on our cake table. We’ll also put a few of the historic photos in frames on the “guest book” (aka wish bowl) table.
