Relationship Status Poll

August 24th, 2007 @ 4:46 pm by Mrs. Onion

I found myself curious to know the “relationship status” of weddingbee readers. Are you single, in a relationship, engaged to be married or already married?? After I got this “oh so original idea”, Mrs. Bee pointed out that she had the same idea almost a year ago! Great minds think alike I say. So here we go, it’s poll time!

Are you...?

I wasn’t one of those girls who dreamed about her wedding day long before it was in sight. I didn’t start thinking about it until we got engaged, or at least were talking about getting married. I found weddingbee about three months into my planning and was hooked — and we all know how that turned out. ;)

What about “Can’t wait to be engaged and start planning - In a relationship”? Of course I’m happy with my Mr., but I am waiting (im)patiently for him to pop the question already!

i totally understand jenny! that’s my thing too but i did already start researching…but with a bf who’s been quoted as saying “i’d like to be married within 6 months of asking you and that’s longer then i’d like because i’d prefer 3 months,” i like knowing i’ve got the jump on things…puts my planning-centric mind at ease.

considering that we’ve narrowed the proposal down to within the next year, my early research is definitely going to help and work to our advantage.

haha, i’m with jenny, too– it’s been nearly 9 years since the boy and i got together… it’s supposed to “happen” by the end of this year, though… we’ll see!

I’m with Jenny as well! We’ve been together for 6 years but 5 of it he was still in school (Senior year of High School, then 4 years of college).
We’re waiting to get engaged until we can afford to have the wedding we want, since we’ll be paying for it!

I am engaged and getting married on October 20. I started reading weddingbee long before we got engaged this past April though.

Option #5 - engaged, but not really planning yet?

not engaged, but we have informal “when we get married” discussions. plus, i show him everything cute i see on weddingbee, which surprisingly doesn’t freak him out.

I’m with Jenny and many of the others too. The Boy and I have been together for more than 4 years, we know we want to get married…. so it’s all just a matter of time!

I’m with Jenny, too. According to the mr. the proposal will be “within the next few months.”

another “i’m with Jenny” - I think its coming really really soon though, and we want a short engagement. After perusing this site I realized that if we want to get married in 6 months. WE have to get some preliminary planning underway.
