About Mrs. Licorice

___, Here I Come!

August 26th, 2007 @ 12:34 pm by Mrs. Licorice

At the beginning of planning our wedding, my fiance decided to keep the honeymoon a suprise. A few of my married friends had done this and said it was exciting and fun. Well, I do love a good suprise, as long as I’m not expecting one. If I already know about it, I start to freak out.

Mr. Licorice was able to keep it a secret for a long time without interrogation, so I am proud of myself for that. Eventually, however, the questions came. They were just little guesses as to where we were going. “Is it Greece?” “I don’t know.” “Is it Australia?” “Stop asking!” You get it.

I probably should have never tried to guess, because I knew that if I hit the nail on the head, Mr. Licorice would not be able to say no to me. Well, I didn’t stop. “Are we going to….Paris?” “Gosh, you always guess everything!” There you have it. I’m going to Paris, and I totally don’t care that I ruined the suprise! Mister made reservations at the beautiful Hotel Banville, which is further from the city center but near a metro stop. The interior is posh, but the hotel is a great deal due to its location. What fabulous destinations are y’all planning on visiting?

Too funny! I do the same thing to my fiance :)
Paris is going to be amazing, and your hotel looks wonderful!
We eyed up tahiti forever, but wanted to see too many islands and it got complicated
so, we pulled out our globe one night and started dreaming and now we are going on a mediterranean cruise (Spain, France, Italy, Corsica, Morocco~11 nights!)
We’ve always sworn we’d never go on a cruise so we’ll see how we like it, but we really are so excited for it!
Congrats on your great honeymoon, how romantic! I’m sure you’ll have a blast!

[...] When I heard all the buzz about the influx of passport requests, I was super nervous about getting mine on time. I had it expedited with overnight shipping both ways, and that seems to have done the trick. It cost quite a bit more, but the price was nothing compared to the thought of not going to Paris. [...]
