Wedding Paper Divas

August 28th, 2007 @ 2:31 pm by Mrs. Petunia

I’m surprised I haven’t heard many people talking about my favorite online invitation store: Wedding Paper Divas!

One of my first entries consisted of my raving about their fast turnaround time (and willingness to customize) on our Save the Date order.

We’d been considering letterpress invitations — which the Divas do not do — because we like the idea of customizing our invites in line with our theme, but we doubt our wallets could handle letterpress and, dare I say it, Mr. Petunia has not been impressed with any letterpress samples we have received thus far (as in, he’s not impressed with letterpress period: sacrilege!).

I can say, from the experience with the STD cards, that for relatively inexpensive invitations, the service and the product have not disappointed. Most of their invites run at about $1.79 to $2.19 a piece. I check their website with overzealous energy almost daily to see if they have added any new styles, and these past few days they haven’t disappointed!

Here are some of their new additions, and otherwise faves of mine, that I thought others would like and could work for different wedding styles and color palettes:

Note that many of their invitations can be customized: each usually comes with examples in different set colors, but for a $15 fee they can also create the invite in another color of your choice. I believe they can do the same on some for fonts.

Also, most of these come with corresponding RSVP cards, thank you notes, etc. (for additional charges).

I ::heart:: Wedding Paper Divas too! They just did some thank you cards for me-they turned out amazing and I love their paper quality! And their customer service rocks! Which always leads to a let down when I expect the same service out of my other vendors, hehe!

OK, I’ll throw in a plug for wildflower letterpress. They were by far the cheapest letterpress vendor I found for my rather complicated order, and he had very fast turnaround. I decided to use them after a bee posted her good experience.

However, I did do the layout myself and selected all the paper I wanted, so he’s not a great choice for someone who wants to browse premaid layouts and pick and choose. Wildflower will do layout but I think you would need to give specific instructions, and maybe find your own graphics if you are picky.

Wedding paper divas’ stuff looks really clean and cute! Maybe if I had found them, I would have avoided the allure of letterpress and saved a bundle.

I chose wedding paper divas for my invitations as well. I was tired of seeing the same old thing when it came to invites, so I typed in brown and white wedding invitations into google and up popped WPD!! It’s great that you can use the search by color feature, especially since I put an emphasis on brown and white as my scheme.

I ended up picking the one that’s all brown, but has white petals sort of…falling across the card. The turn around time was great and I was very pleased with the end result.

If you are still interested in letterpress, I used Park Life Press. Travis was awesome and less than 1/4 of the price of letterpress at Paper Source. Paper Source quoted me a price of $26 an invitation! Needless to say, we didn’t go with them. My letterpress invites wound up being around $6-7 each. And I HEART Travis…He custom designed our invites to rave reviews.

I used Wedding Paper Divas and LOVED their personalized service and designs. I can’t tell you how many people raved about my invitations. They are so unique. I’ve never seen anything like them. My husband and I looked everywhere and had the kitchen table filled with samples before we found this company - by accident - online one day. We’re glad we used them and will use them in the future for stationary needs, etc!

I too am a WeddingPaperdivas fan. We ordered our STD’s and the turnaround, like you said, it’s unbelievably fast. Not to mention, their customer service is awesome! I got the brown and white scalloped invitations. I can’t wait to send them out!
