I am so happy to be Miss Caramel! “Caramel” has been sort of a nickname for me since college, so REALLY– I love being Miss Caramel!

I’ll cut right to the chase; I have only about 6 weeks until the big day…. and how have I been feeling? Very relaxed. Strange, right? I was going crazy a few weeks ago, but then I had this sudden wave of “Oh well, what good is it if I worry about it all the time?” I’ve also realized that I do not like registry shopping as much as I thought, my diet of losing 10lbs is ridiculous, and that I am looking forward to my honeymoon way more than my wedding day.

I absolutely have to plan ahead, so before I even got engaged I knew that I wanted:

- to get married in a church (this would mean two locations- church & reception site)
- to have a honeymoon in Italy (I studied abroad in Florence)
- to make my wedding as unique, creative and “wow I’ve never seen this before!” as possible.

What do all these things add up to? Lots and lots of MONEY!! My fiance and I are both 24 years old. We met in college and got together right after we graduated. I work for galleries and museums… for free. Yup! I intern, volunteer, do stuff that will look good on my resume but does absolutely nothing to my bank account. So I had to say “bye bye” to a lot of good ideas I had. (But I’ll gladly share them with you all.)
