I’ve been scanning pictures for our slideshow and it’s brought back a flood of childhood memories. Poring over my family’s old photo albums has actually been one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. It’s so much fun reliving my childhood!
Brother Eggplant was my little sidekick. He was adorable, no?
Below, Mamma and Pappa Eggplant cutting their wedding cake. Mamma’s dress matches Barbies! And I love Pappa’s spiffy blue velvet suit.
For those of you who have done slideshows for your wedding, have you found it’s something that people enjoy? Or do they go over as boring for most? What creative techniques have you used to to spice up your slideshow?

my babe is going to wear a brown tux. we’re afraid that years later (or now even!) people will think of it as they do the crazy ruffle tuxes of the 70s.
but who gives a flip, ya know? cheers to your pops!
and we’re having a slideshow as well. we’ve got photos from waaaay back in the family tree. back when photography was new and nobody smiled!

your parent’s wedding pictures are so awesome….you really favor your mom, so beautiful….she was such a gorgeous bride! i wish i had pictures like that of my parents but she’s misplaced them.

I think everyone loves slideshows, particularly when some embarassing pics are thrown in

i love slideshows! - i love making them and watching them. i think it’s great to see pics of the bride & groom when they’re younger. as well as pictures of them together. i also think you have to choose the right songs to set the mood.
and i think everyone gets a kick out of old elementary school pictures that show bad haircuts, glasses that are too big, braces, dated hair, too much hairspray, etc. 
Yeah, you look exactly like your mom!! I had a slideshow too and I was afraid it might be boring (it’s always my favorite part at weddings) but everyone got a kick out of the old pictures…especially the ones with the 80s hairstyles and clothes.
Awww the pic of you and your sidekick brother reminds me of me and my brother. We’re very close. I love the pic of your mama. You two look very much alike.
People loooooooove the slide shows and old pics. Everyone loved our photo guestbook. I loved my MOH’s slide show at her wedding. It’s great!
