Table Numbers? Check!

August 31st, 2007 @ 10:36 am by Mrs. Gummi Bear

We’ve finished up the designs for the table numbers (yay!) and found ourselves some cute pedestals to put the numbers in. 12 verticals and 4 horizontal… just in case! I imagine we’ll need them for something, and I’d rather be better prepared than scrambling to make something out of wire hanger and spray paint the night before.

Note the photo from our friend’s wedding a month ago. Mr. GB has buck-teeth in this photo, and I look very annoyed. I wasn’t, it was adorable, but like I said… photos = misery. The other piece of paper is just something that came with the frame.. funny story about that. Mr. GB’s best friend’s brother (woo!) found out through a friend that his wedding photos are now the cheesy images that come in frames for sale at Neiman Marcus. I guess the photographer decided it was worth selling without telling them. Watch out!

This leaves me wondering as I wander through our house, garage, and back stairwell completely full of boxes. What AM I going to do with 16 wire frames, 100 mushroom birds, parasols and sandalwood fans… and the other billion wedding things we have lying around? Mr. GB says to box and sell it on ebay as a ready-to-go wedding. HA!

On another note, we got our first rsvp back….

Uh. what happened to it? It came this way, scotch tape and all, torn asunder.

I might be interested in purchasing your parasols when you’re done with them. What do they look like?

Miss GB, be happy your RSVP came back complete… We received one of ours in an envelope from the post office, apologizing for destroying our mail… it was in HALF. Fortunately, half of the name section remained, rather than just the number section… It read “Mom and Da…” Easy to figure that one out… and how many would be attending, haha… thank goodness!

Have fun checking your mail!!

eee! I emailed all you girls. :D
But for future reference, yes, saw them in MS Weddings, looked in the back of the magazine for who made them and made some calls.

They are from “America Retold” and you just need to call and say you saw it in the magazine for them to sell it to you retail. If anyone wants them after Oct, I’ll probably be selling mine!

FI’s BF’s brother should threaten to sue for royalties!

Looks like the PO got hungry and ate your RSVP! (No one will notice if I scotch tape over the bite marks.)

Post-wedding, there’s a Trash to Treasure board on TheKnot/TheNest for newlyweds to sell their wedding supplies to brides.

http://boards.thenest.com/boards/showforum.aspx?ForumID=466

It’s the most referenced general wedding resale resource I’ve seen around.

Most wedding photographers keep the rights to the photos, and it’s written in their contracts. That makes it well within their rights to sell the photos for stock, use them for their own advertisement, or put them on the web. If you aren’t comfortable with that, you should put it in writing prior to the wedding.

I’m in the SF Bay Area. I will totally buy all 16 of those pedestal frames after your wedding in October. Email me and let me know how much!

If anyone is looking for the wire pedestal frames that are show in the above photo, I actually sell them at http://www.VintageSusie.com (link to the frames is below). They are wonderful for everything, but especially weddings. You can find them at http://vintagesusie.com/catalog.php?item=14&catid=11&ret=catalog.php%3Fcategory%3D11 and I can get any amount you need. They are wonderful for your memories after the wedding too…How nice would it be to give each of the gals in your wedding party one of these after the wedding with a special snapshot of you and her :-)

Susan
