Wrap Me Pretty.

August 31st, 2007 @ 6:01 pm by Mrs. Cherry Blossom

This is money I can save to use for something else, but these are so pretty! I mean, I’m going to get cold and I’ll need something to keep me warm aside from Mr. CB’s arms, right? I can’t just wear some ol’ peacoat - wouldn’t I want something to complement my gorgeous gown?

I saw a couple wraps that I thought were just so lovely. I don’t think I’ll get one seeing as I can’t reuse it afterwards (my rule of thumb with wedding purchases aside from the gown, of course) but it’s just sitting there in the back of my mind. * sigh * So pretty.

if you really want it…maybe you can buy it & then resell it after the wedding? then the price won’t sting so bad

Try sewing your own! The ruffled wrap won’t be hard to do. You can probably line in a nice warm cashmere or similar fabric for warmth. Not sure where you can find nice faux fur for the first one though :-(

The first one is beautiful - but unfortunately it’s fur, and white fur at that — which appears to be seal fur. Yuck.

i bought one for my mom for Christmas last year on ebay for $30. it looks just like the first picture, only it was faux fur and black. the quality of the faux fur is nice enough for her to wear it to formal dinner parties.

i like the second one - never saw a white ruffle wrap like that before. very pretty and cute. :) but i agree, they are tempting accessories!

Couldn’t you just get it in some other color than white? Perhaps in a color that matches the bm dresses? It might be easier to wear it afterwards if it’s not white…

the second one looks like it could be hand-sewn - a much cheaper option. if your ceremony, pictures, or reception aren’t outdoors, the wrap probably won’t even be necessary. i am someone who always gets cold, so i bought an inexpensive shawl for my wedding - however, i ended up not using it at all. running around and all the excitement kept me warm all night. good luck!
