Help Miss Magnolia Choose!

September 5th, 2007 @ 7:42 pm by Mrs. Bee

Since white is the color most commonly associated with magnolias, we have a couple of different character options for Miss Magnolia to choose from.  Though the choice is hers, please let Miss Magnolia know which magnolia is your favorite! :)

White tint, yellow tint, pink tint, blue tint, original pink

Which color is your favorite?

I like all of the colors but the original pink stands out the most!

i picked the blue because i thought it still looked like white, just more visible.

The yellow tint is my favorite, but I voted original pink since it’s the only one that really stands out. Is there any way to put a different colored background just behind the logo? Like a bright blue circle with the yellow tint magnolia in the middle, or something like that?

the whites are beautiful but are too hard to see, so original pink is my vote.

I like the original pink just because it stands out better than the others.

I like the whites, too, but the pink stands out the best.

Same here - original pink. I find that an accent color will stand out better in pictures, especially if this is used for the bridal bouquet.

Ooops, I misread and thought this was for her actual flowers. I do still like the original pink color. :P

What, no option for a blush or bashful?

As an actual flower, I like the yellow and the pale pink, but all those pastels blend in with the white background of the web page, unless you’re planning to add leaves behind them or something.

Um… Magnolias are not bright pink. They’re off white.

Just FYI from a girl with a magnolia tree in her back yard. :)

As a botanist, I’d like to contribute my two cents. The correct color for this flower shape of magnolia is pink. This narrow and long pink flower is the saucer magnolia (Magnoia soulangiana).

If the flower were squat and much wider, then it should be an off-white southern magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora), the common one that everyone recognizes.

I would say either the blue tint (looks white but stands out more) or the original pink. The yellow one looks like freesia to me. All cute though!
