Beautiful! Question about the lobster- we had considered doing a lobster bake but thought it would be too messy in formal/semi-formal clothing. How did it work? How did you deal with all of the shelling and mess? Looks like so much fun!

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Corn! The grass centerpieces came out great; I really like the escort card/envelope on the twine thingy, too! And right by the water.

Hey Emily…the lobster at a clam bake isn’t messy because it bakes in the pit instead of in water. They also halved Mr Corn and my lobsters for us and provided bibs and towelettes for everyone. I say go for it and just let people know it might get messy.

Emily- as a guest of this wedding i’d have to say that although eating lobster can be a messy task all precautions were taking to make it the least bit scary. We had big napkins, moist towelettes, and bibs The table had bowls that we could chuck things in, so no risk of them falling on ourselves. I am a very messy eater, can barely get through a meal without something on me, and i did not get anything on my dress :)

Hope that helps from a guest perspective!

I just came across your site and your wedding was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! unreal!! I was wondering if you could tell me if you made your centerpieces yourself or if you purchased them..only because I’ve been trying to make something similar for a while now…..

Any info you can give would be great!!
