All materials used for my DIY invitations were purchased from my local scrapbook store (except for the monogram embosser purchased online).

What a timely topic…I just sent out my invites last Wednesday and my phone has literally been ringing off the hook since my guests started getting them! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them (and my guests do too!)…they were custom designed by Diane Lamendola at An Invitation Studio (www.aninviationstudio.com). She was great to work with, so talented and I feel like my invitations completely set the tone for our wedding. I sent Diane a picture of the groom’s tie (an ivory/gold paisley) and she based our whole invite suite on that element. They’re fabulous!!! This is one vendor I would highly recommend to anyone looking to go the custom route. I never imagined that invitations could ignite so much excitement…but based on how people have reacted, they are doing just that!
I used a vendor I was referred to locally here in KC named Jennifer Hereen that has just recently launched her home-based business. She was lovely to work with, and I’ll actually be going back to her for help with my table names, menus, and table assignment printouts once we have the final guest list more nailed down.
She works with a number of different paper outlets, I think, but we specifically worked with the Envelopments line for my invitations. They turned out better than I could have imagined them!
My wedding stationery designer is Saima Khan of Saima Says Designs (www.saimasaysdesigns.com). Her work is beautiful and she’s been amazing to work with. Her save-the-date design for me captured everything I was trying to convey about our event– I cannot stop looking at it.
We only had a few weeks to chose and order the invites so DIY was out. We liked the letterpress as well but that wasn’t in our budget. http://www.einvite.com was great to work with, no complaints!
I will say that I’m constantly surprised at the creativeness my fellow Bee’s display. An entire invitation suite based on the pattern/colors in a tie? Pretty cool!

My invitations, save-the-dates, and favor tags were designed by Pearl and Marmalade.

my invites were completely DIY. linen invite paper and envelopes were from kelly paper (http://www.kellypaper.com) and stardream cardstock backing for invite and inserts were from paper source (http://www.paper-source.com) and cut to size at kinko’s. all adhesives for assembling invites are from micheal’s. invites came to just over $1/set including postage!
I used MyGatsby.com and I have to say that they were AWESOME. I have received so many compliments on my invites and they were inexpensive compared to other sites. You can use their DIY invitation design software to layout exactly how you want. I love my invitations.
We used Now & Forever. Their Lime Dots invite was actually the inspiration for our color scheme!
We used http://www.cardsdeluxe.com for our invitations. They can do the complete package for you or you can have them just do the designs and you can do the rest. They were great and easy to work with!
I worked with my local card store, Lion in the Sun of Park Slope for my STD’s and invites (www.lioninthesunps.com) and I love them.
We designed our own STD’s and our invites were from eggpress letterpress (and they are beautiful).
I also just ordered some thank you notes from Wedding Paper Divas, and I love them - they were super simple, quick, and amazingly easy to deal with for a vendor on the other side of the country!
we used http://www.whiteaisle.com and i LOVE the invites. i’d sleep with one under my pillow if i could. the arturo papers are so lovely, and all our guests have commented on them. two thumbs up for rebecca at white aisle for both customer service, and quality for the price.
I love Oblation Papers out of Portland - they letterpress & make their own paper!
Once we move next year I think I’m going to have them make us “calling cards” with our new address - they’re very chic.

Combination of DIY and vendor, that way its a tiny bit cheaper. The customer service rep, Michelle, that I talked to was very helpful and answered all of my questions promprtly. You design the layout for your invites, then they have a graphic designer look at the layout you made and make suggestions to tweak it. I’m very happy with the results. We got pocketfolds and they had the shimmery metallic paper that I was looking for.

i have a contact that is a commerical printer, and he designed them (with my ideas) and printed them. they are beautiful, and for half the price, couldnt beat em!
We just ordered our save the dates and plan on getting invites from the same line. They are by Lallie and we ordered them through Kate’s Paperie. Loving them! I thought I’d want letterpress, but they weren’t bright and fun enough for the look we want. I’m thrilled with the design. 
By Alice Boutique out of St. Louis did my invites. Their shop was fantastic and while I spent more than I meant to, I’ve had so many compliments on them that I hope my wedding will be as nice as the invites!
We used Hello Lucky letterpressed invites. They worked quickly and were responsive to my emails. I would highly recommed them to anyone.

I LOVED working with Tara, ADORED our invitations, and got compliments on the invitation set from the minute people got the invites all the way up to the wedding (and beyond).
I sympathize for BRIDES on BUDGETS, so….if there is anything I can do, please let me know. I may not be a pro yet, but I do have a heart and I know what a mess this can turn into. (I just put my invitations in the mail less than an hour ago)….BOY! Have I got storie!
however, more than this, I have answers, and solutions, and eventhough I am in the middle of planning our December wedding, I may be able to help you out.
You can feel so alone during this process, only a bride-to-be or an already tyed the knot bride would understand!

I bought all my paper supplies from Paper Source - mostly online but there is a store in Berkeley that I frequented as well. http://www.paper-source.com
I LOVED how mine turned out: they were printed at home on soft white paper, then attached to a square bluebell cardstock, then had a light blue floral sash wrapped around, tied with a satin chocolate brown ribbon, and in a chocolate petal (4-flap folded card). The envelopes were bluebell, and I stamped the flap with a chocolate brown C (for our married last name). Paper Source sells kits of similar invites, but I chose all the individual elements myself so they were the exact colors I wanted.
I also did all online RSVPs through my ewedding website. It worked out perfectly!
I had custom invitations made that involved beautiful stamping. Also my outer envelopes were hand calligraphy.
Adorable, custom-feel letterpress invites. The colors and designs are so pretty! Perfect for price point, and I absolutely love the designs!
Another vote for MyGatsby! We “designed” ours through their website where you pick the style, color of paper, ink, layout, font, and so on, and then DIYed them a bit with rubber stamping and raffia. Loved the invitations and MyGatsby had good quality and service!
