An Oldie… But A Goodie!

September 11th, 2007 @ 2:46 pm by Mrs. Cherry Blossom

Unappreciative and ungrateful was what I was when I received this gift from my aunt over 10+ years ago. I was in middle school and really… couldn’t appreciate a gift like this. But recently, I rummaged my drawers for it and started thinking about how I could put it too good use - putting little things that I might want to carry like lipstick or any other small items (like my digicam … haha … remember the scene in “13 going on 30″ when they pull out the camera to take a pic of themselves? Yeah I picture us doing that, because we’ve mastered that pose laughin057).

Anyhoot, I could spend the moolah to get an adorable clutch or I can use this:

As you can tell from the scratches, the pack-rat in me never threw it away but I never took great care of it either. sad017

It’s a hard case so everything inside will be protected. blush023 Not sure if I’m hot on the gold chain but the little handle is okay.

Pretty cute no? Cute to use Yay or Nay? Anyone know of a remedy to give it a cosmetic lift since my unappreciative arse didn’t take good care of it?

You could get some pearlescent or metallic paint, and paint the whole thing. It wouldn’t be perfect, but it would cover up the scratches. You could crazy-glue on some tiny rhinestones here and there to distract as well.

its ok….. and you really don’t need a clutch. you’re going to be holding your bouquet all day and busy running around to worry about it. just let your bridesmaids hold your stuff and save your moola. =)

The lace idea could be really interesting?? I’m not sure about purses either — like you have one on hand that would work, but am not sure how it would be carried with bouquets and whatnot to juggle….
