I saw this 5 Year Diary from Rare Device featured on Outblush awhile back, and finally purchased one for myself!  Here’s a description:

Travel forward and back in time as you record daily entries in this beautifully cloth-bound book. Each page represents one day across five years…read what you were doing two years ago as you write your new entry. Includes a book log and map pages in the back. Red ribbon bookmark holds your place.

$25.  This would make a wonderfully thoughtful gift for almost anyone in your life.  Or you could pick one up for yourself (like I did icon_wink2.gif)!  What a great way to record any stage in life (like the first five years of marriage)!

oooooooooooh i love it! I stopped writing in my journal ages ago bc I don’t have time but this is short and sweet and to record the first years of marriage would be a fabulous idea! Thanks Mrs. Bee!

My great-grandmother kept one of these for almost two years when she was in college in the early 1920’s. It’s very cool to hear about her roommate bobbing her hair, picking up copies of Cosmopolitan and meeting my great-grandfather (who was ‘nice,’ but not as fabulous as this other boy…little did she know…) We found it after she passed.

What a great idea… i have my old journals where I’d write pages upon pages… my last journal lasted me 3 years but after finished up that monster of a book I never went back.

This might actually get me back to journaling again! :)

this would also be good to give your significant other 5 years later as a record of all the highs and lows..

it looks like more of a 5-year calendar/planner. do you have to write in in EVERY day? are the dates + years printed in it? thanks*

I haven’t received it yet, but I suppose you don’t have to write in it everyday. And I think you fill in the dates/years. It’ll be cool to see what you were doing on one specific day over 5 years. :)

Love, love, love the idea of using it for your first 5 years of marriage! (And Mrs. Violet, what a neat idea of giving it to your significant other further on down the road…. My mother did that once — kept a small journal for me the year I was 13 — and it was really special.)

By the way, I love this so much that I rushed out to buy one for myself and one for a soon-to-be-married friend! And I did a Google search just to see if there are other options out there (answer=no)…. And discovered that Overstock.com has the same one for $16.52 ($2.95 shipping)!
